I almost forgot...

Helen shat herself in the middle of a posh ice cream shop in Mumbai.

That is all.

Is this just viral marketing for 'Skins'?

Chris, stray kittens are the second biggest food source on the streets of India after people's own unwanted offspring.

You have done a terrible thing.

No, I shouldn't joke. You have seen the effects of extreme poverty first-hand and it is certainly no laughing matter. Although from my perspective it is all very very far away and if Lenny Henry has taught me nothing else, it is that starvation and comedy go hand in hand.

If only he had told his mrs.

Your blog is most amusing and whilst I did not understand the football-related jokes, I smiled out of politeness.

You are missing Wimbledon. Not sure who is winning. Probably Boris Agassi.

Also, the weather is lovely here. Nothing else to report.

So I will leave you with hugs and kisses and my current favourite joke ever -

Q: What's brown and rhymes with "Snoop"?

A: Dr Dre.

xxxxxxx

Hi Chris, Excellent blog - not that I've read many - but you may have a talent - this looks to be entertaining even without the special interest! Know what you mean about the poverty and the initial hardness in denying beggars - right decision though - did I tell you about the time I got chased down the streat by three little old ladies in amaderbhad just for looking at them the wrong way. (hmm not sure that came out right..) Seriously though - I've never stayed long enough / got close enough to get past seeing the poverty and that kind of spoiled India for me - so be interested to know how you see it a few weeks down the line. Sounds like your both having an 'interesting time' - hopefully also a great one! Look forward to the next instalment with bated breath - well almost - at least its better than daytime TV :)
